Be prepared for the fourth series of the Terminator. The title of the latest series was still debatable until recently a title - “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” - was decided.

Warner Bros. Pictures shall take responsibility as the distributor for the North American regions. Warner is having the first rights for domestic theatrical and TV distribution rights as it also served the same duties on the third series, ‘Terminator 3:Rise of the Machines’. Production planning has just begun. The filming is expected to start in early 2008 and the flick is expected to be released on summer 2009. Michael Ferris and John Brancato have already completed the screenplay. The search is still going on for the directing duties.

According to Moritz Borman:

The third film was really the conclusion of what happened in the ‘now.’ You will find the most-loved characters, but the intention here is to present a fresh new world and have this be the first of a trilogy.

It is still unclear whether Arnold Schwarzenegger will act in the latest series. ‘Rise of the Machine’ was the last movie he made before becoming the Governor, but now everything depends on his desires and availability. Can the Commando be a Governor and a Terminator at the same time? Only time will tell...!

We all are aware of some great social networking sites such as Orkut and Facebook and are also aware of their awesome success. The trend now has moved to another level with sites such as Criticker. Criticker is a user driven movie review and recommendation community. The site has been developed by the same people who earlier made waves with their Random Good Stuff blog.

The concept behind this all is quite simple – Let user’s rate movies which they have seen, on a scale of 0-100, other users who want to see any movie can first read the user reviews of all the movies and then decide the best. Users will just have to click on a movie title to get to know about a short summary, genre, direction and the star cast of the movie they wish to see.

The user interface is quite pleasing, however sometimes it’s quite difficult to differentiate between the content and the ads. Another good feature of the site is that users can first go through a list of 50 movie sites without even signing up for an account. If you find the statistics useful then you can sign up for an account. Membership is completely free and takes a few seconds.

Once you rate the movies you have seen, the site also generates a Taste Compatibility Index that matches your taste with other Criticker users. The concept behind the design seems unique and we wish them all the very best.

One might be wondering what is common between Sunita Williams and Shahrukh Khan. It might sound absurd at first but it is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Though the connotation holds different meaning for both of them, a senior US embassy official, Adnan Siddiqi has compared Sunita Williams with Shahrukh Khan.

American-Indian astronaut Sunita Williams is from NASA and has become the ‘real’ hero after her safe return from the space on the Atlantis with a record of 195 days in the space. And, ‘reel’ hero, Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a NASA engineer who came back to India to ignite the minds of people in the Hindi movie Swades.

Both have acted as a catalystic force in igniting a scientific bent in the minds of their Indian fellowmen. Shahrukh being an
‘on-screen’ representation of Sunita Williams, who came to India on September 20. Like Shah Rukh in the movie, Sunita interacted with people and encouraged students by sharing her knowledge of space. She will be returning to the US on October 4.

Though the ‘real’ action of a ‘real’ hero hits the mind of people with an immediate
action, the onscreen representation of a people’s hero, ‘King’ Khan was convincing enough in Swades.

I’m a great fan of ‘Star Trek’ actor George Takei. I just loved his role as Hikaru Sulu in the original ‘Star Trek’ series and movies. And today, I’m feeling glad telling you guys that scientists have named an asteroid in honor of the great actor Takei.

The actor has been immortalized in the outer space with his name permanently affixed to an asteroid between Mars and Jupiter. Wow! That’s a great news.
