Ex-wife of American writer Walter Mosley alleges that he owes her about $500,000 as payments from his royalties and income under their divorce settlement agreement.
The ‘Devil in a Blue Dress’ author is being sued by ex-wife Joy Kellman, as the writer has failed to provide his ex-wife with 25 percent of all royalties and income he gets from his books and screenplays, including those featuring his popular Easy Rawlins character.
Mosley who has received advances of $1.6 million for his last three Rawlins books has not given a penny to his divorced wife. The suit also alleges that Kellman has not been paid her share for certain scripts and screenplays, nor has she received any proceeds from a deal Mosley did for a TV series featuring Rawlins.
Kellman, who was married to Mosley from 1987 to 2001 alleges that the writer withheld income related information until last year.
