10. Friends With Money

Direction: Nicole- Holofcener

Cast: Jennifer Aniston, Catherine Keener, Frances McDormand, Joan Cusa
money 9 191
Storyline: Friends With Money puts the marriage, success, self-esteem and communication under surveillance. Movie is an observation on the ups and downs of female friendships.

Instacritic: The fast paced-scenes make film tired and there is nothing new in the story to impress the audience and look like a comic drama. The whole story never achieves any significant insight or depth. Characters are incapable of showing real feelings, real pain, and real humour.

Cast: Hend Ayoub, Brian Boland, Becky Ann Bake
daeth 9 191
Storyline: Death of a President is a fictional documentary about the assassination of 43rd United States President George W. Bush at the hands of a sniper.

Instacritic: Death of a President isn’t art, or even entertainment. It’s just an effort to catch attention with bold title. The filmmaker has absolutely nothing of value to say. It’s just an imaginary political thriller.

Cast: David Duchovny, Billy Crudup, Julianne Moore, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Eva Mendes, James Le Gros
trust 7 191
Storyline: Trust the Man mainly deals with the relationships of two couples and a realization of just how important those relationships are. Film presents a surprising and amusing search for love in the midst of their careers and family.

Instacritic: Film has nothing interesting to tell about the relationships. Neither script is good enough nor is direction and characters interesting. There is no emotional punch in the relationships. It’s just a waste of time and money.

7. Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus

Direction: Steven Shainberg

Cast: Nicole Kidman, Robert Downey, Jr.Ty Burrell, Harris Yulin and Jane Alexander

Storyline: Fur is a fictional account rather than an accurate biography. It’s an imaginative story in the life of a real figure. Turning her back on her wealthy, established family, Diane Arbus (Kidman) falls in with Lionel Sweeney (Downey Jr.), an enigmatic mentor who introduces Arbus to the marginalized people who help her become one of the most revered photographers of the twentieth century.

Instacritic: The unusual and the weird elements were in this film. Screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson and director Steven Shainberg have created an unbearable and exaggerated biopic of a suffering artist. Oscar winner Nicole Kidman is an amazing actress and I wonder what makes her to sign such movies.

Cast: Logan Lerman, Cody Linley, Brie Larson, Luke Wilson, Tim Blake Nelso
hoot 5 191

Storyline: Hoot is based on Carl Hiassen’s novel. It tells the story of a young man (Lerman) who moves from Montana to Florida with his family, where he’s compelled to engage in a fight to protect a population of endangered owls.

Instacritic: It’s a terrible movie enveloped with kissing and hugging owls. Its forced humor fails to amuse anyone. Moreover acting, dialogue and every aspect of this film feels fixed up in 1970’s. Above all the soundtrack is just terrible.

Direction: Steve ‘Spaz’ Williams

Cast: Kiefer Sutherland, Jim Belushi, Greg Cipes, Eddie IzzardJaneane Garofalo, Richard Kind, William Shatner, Patrick Warburton, Bob Joles, Chris Edgerly, Don Cherry

Storyline: The Wild is a computer-animated film featuring unique and exotic zoo animals in the wild concrete jungle of New York City. An adolescent lion (Greg Cipes) is accidentally shipped from the New York Zoo to Africa. Now running free, his zoo pals must put aside their differences to help bring him back.

Instacritic: The movie is a big disappointment which seems like a dull Madagascar rip off. There’s nothing original in the film and characters are very dull. There is no charm in the film and is an undemanding and unremarkable effort like Madagascar with the similar theme.

Storyline: The Wicker Man is an American horror film written and directed by Neil LaBute. It is a remake of the 1973 British film of the same title and the plot follows the same outlines as the previous one. Edward Malus (Cage) investigates the disappearance of a young girl on a remote island off the coast of Maine. Upon arriving on the island, he discovers a matriarchal society ruled over by Sister Summerisle, a nod to the original film.

Instacritic: The movie is neither mysterious nor suspenseful. Instead of maintaining a mysterious tone it turns into something almost laughable. The movie is a big bore, poorly written, acted and is certainly an irresistible disappointment.

arragon 9 191
Storyline: Eragon is an adventure movie based on the novel written by Christopher Paolini. Eragon tells the tale of a farm boy named Eragon, living in the village Carvahall in the fictional and magical world of Alagaesia. Eragon, now a Dragon Rider, is swept into a world of magic and power, discovering that he alone has the power to save or destroy an Empire.

Instacritic: Eragon is a slow and dull film and the story is just an imitation. Even the acting is unnatural and lifeless. One critic alleged that ‘Eragon is based on a book by a 19-year-old with a script that seems to have been written by a 12-year-old.’ It’s just a waste of money, time and skills of actors of the like John Malkovich.

anna 95 191
Storyline: The movie revolves around Jake Huard, a young man who dreams of one day attending the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland.

Instacritic: The Naval Academy shown in the movie bears very little resemblance to the real academy. It was marketed as a war film but it actually revolves around a boxing tournament at the academy. The plot is awful, and the acting is hardly acceptable for professionals. It is as an alternative of boring boxing bout. You’ll hardly find anything to praise about Annapolis.

1. Date Movie

Direction: Aaron Seltzer

Cast: Alyson Hannigan, Sophie Monk, Adam Campbell, Eddie Griffin, Fred Willard, Jennifer Coolidge
date 5 191
Storyline: Date Movie tells the story of hopelessly romantic Julia Jones, who meets the man of her dreams, Grant Fonckyerdoder, plans a big fat Greek wedding, has to meet the parents, and get with the wedding planner.

Instacritic: It’s terrible movie. Sequences are so badly executed that they are incomprehensible and full of disgusting jokes. The haphazard manner in which the story line, if you can comprehend it, is portrayed certainly makes me crown it the worst movie of 2006...never ever dare watch it.
