American talk show ‘The View’ is all set to give its viewers a real great view of the show, as it will soon have Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd in its panel. The program aims to showcase women with a range of perspectives and have Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck in its current panel.
Comedian Whoopi will join in the place of Rosie O’Donnell and had been tipped from months to fill up the vacant seat. She will be joining the show’s new season. Sherri Shepherd, 40, is an African-American comedian and has been offered another seat for the show.
O’Donnell had brought a new recognition to the show, ‘The View’ because of her blunt political remarks, however, she had to leave the program few days before her contract ended as she had a bitter on-air fight with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
Both women will be taking the show’s two empty seats....one of former co-host Star Jones Reynolds due to her resentful exit in 2006 and then another of O’Donnell.
Shepherd has shows like The Wedding Bells and Less Than Perfect to her credit. Her latest movie, ‘Who’s Your Caddy‘, is also scheduled for a release on July 27.
ABC is in final settlement with both the ladies and it is soon expected to be announced publicly by next week.
