Those awaiting the much anticipated release of Batman’s new movie ‘The Dark Knight’ have great news instored. Reports have it that the trailer of the movie has been leaked online for internet fanatics to grab their chance to get a sneak preview. The movies special effects and action scenes have been featured in the available trailer.

All those who have not yet feasted their eyes on the trailer yet, news has it that it showcases Batman riding his Batpod through the streets of Gotham and smirking the villain Joker in custody. Glimpses of the trailer reveals Heath Ledger for the first time as the psychopathic clown. Additionally, it also gave out the first peeks of Rachel Dawes, Alfred Pennyworth, Lietenant James Gordon and Lusiuc, Fox’s characters played by Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman respectively.

The official screening of the trailer was held along with the theatrical release of the movie ‘I Am Legend’. The pirated version of the trailer has been circulated like wild fire over the internet ever since its release in the theatres. The news though is that the trailer will release on 17th December officially over the world wide web and that too in multiple formats. Meanwhile for movie goers and avid fanatics of Batman franchise, the film will witness a theatrical release on July 18th 2008.

Batman series has been a success ever since its inception as a comic superhero and then a movie hero. Followers of the Batman franchise will be anticipating the release to feast their eyes on some raw adventure action. Other superheros movie sequels have not done much a deal at the Box Office and in the minds of the viewers the way Batman has. It created waves in Hollywood with its first installment and has been a success with every feature whether is is Batman, Batmn returns, Batman and Robin, Batman Forever etc. The Dark Knight will be welcomed at the Box Office with a huge responsibility to ive up to the expectations of the Batman franchise. Only time can tell if this installment adds more credibility to the superhero or dumps his presence on silver screen.
