
The comedy spoof ‘Epic Movie’ took the top honor at the box office this weekend earning about $19.2 million.
‘Epic Movie,’ which lampoons dozens of films, a few MTV shows and Paris Hilton, raked in $19.2 million, pretty much recouping the costs of production for 20th Century Fox.

Affleck’s gangland saga ‘Smokin’ Aces’ opened in second spot with $14.3 million, almost covering production costs for the first weekend. And ‘Night at the Museum’ continued to draw audiences, placing third for the weekend with about $9.5 million, which raised its six-week total to $217 million.
Garner’s ‘Catch and Release’ was in fourth place with $8.0 million.
