Well, when I first watched Shrek, I had an inkling this ogler along with his funny gang would go a long way. And now after a couple of years later my intuition has been aptly vindicated. As a matter of fact Shrek 3 is proving such a big hit that even movies like Die Hard 4.0, despite so much hype and hoopla, are struggling to keep a pace with former. The movie has already amassed £5.08m in U.K. and ruling UK and Ireland box-office, whereas other super stars-studded movies are nowhere near it.
And if you think that it is just animation that makes Shrek such a blockbuster, then you are simply wrong as other animated movies like Fantastic Four are trailing very badly at the box-office. It’s the Shrek and Fiona’s undying charisma that keeps their fan entertaining time and again and whoever watches the movie finds him or herself being associated with them.
Oops! A tough competition lies ahead as Harry Potter - the Order of the Phoenix, would make it difficult for Shrek to rule the chart for long, nevertheless Shrek has already proved that despite his ugly looks he can win movie buffs’ hearts.
