Another movie to follow the sequel trend is the 1996 cult hit ‘The Long Kiss Goodnight’. Samuel Jackson is working with director Reny Harlin on a sequel of the action thriller movie. They are working on the project and slowly trying to get things together for the plot.
The 1996 movie which starred Samuel Jackson and Geena Davis in the lead role got a huge acclaim and became a cult hit.

The original movie revolved around a suburban mother, Samantha Caine (Geena Davis), of 8 year old daughter who begins to remember small parts of her previous life as a secret agent. Then she realises that her enemies are on the prowl looking for revenge and she takes the help of Mitch (Samuel Jackson) to fight against her enemies.

The sequel, however, will not star Geena Davis. Instead, a new and fresher star will be seen in the movie. The plot of the new movie will revolve around the daughter who is grown up now.

Samuel Jackson said,

‘Actually, we’re thinking, you know, the little girl [Samantha’s daughter, Caitlin] is grown up now and possibly got some skills passed onto her by her mom,’

‘Her mom gets killed and we want to find out who did it.’

‘Well, she comes to find me because I’m the only connection to her mom,’

‘And I might know the people that have done that.’
