The multi-award winning reality series ‘The Apprentice’ has been signed for two more new seasons. Currently its third series is being broadcast. In this reality show the contestants, who vie for a job are divided into two teams and each week the winning team is rewarded with a luxury treat. The losers have to report to the boardroom for a showdown with Sir Alan Sugar, Margaret Mountford and Nick Hewer.
A BBC spokeswoman said:
We’re delighted we’re doing another two series. The show is fantastic and proving popular with young audiences, too.
The format of the series is based on the US show that has a similar name. The US version that began in 2004 stars Donald Trump. The UK Bafta winner version is enjoying success since its beginning in 2005 and moved from BBC-Two to BBC-One for the third series.
Ironically, both the winners from the first two series have moved to other jobs.
