Walt Disney, known for its fantasy films has unveiled the official poster for ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian’ the studio’s next installment in the Narnia franchise. Narnia fantasy fans across the globe has been awaiting this poster ever since it was disclosed that there will be a Narnia sequel.
Following the The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the Prince Caspian will show the four Pevensie children return to Narnia, only to discover that hundreds of years have passed since they ruled there, and the evil King Miraz has taken charge. The poster which features titular character himself, played by English actor Ben Barnes, with Aslan the Lion in the background and is accompanied by a tagline ‘A New Age Has Begun’.
Based on C.S. Lewis’ second book in the Chronicles of Narnia series, the movie was slated for a December 2007 release but is now pushed to May 16, 2008 instead. The sets of the series especially Miraz’s castle, Aslan’s How and the underground hiding places of the Narnians were created at Barrandov Studios in Prague. The production began in February this year in the studios and few places in New Zealand and Europe.
Fans of the series of Narnia, will be anticipating this huge fantasy block buster mid next year. The sequel is much awaited and a lot is expected out of this Walt Disney creation. Conidering the mammoth applause and response the first part recieved a lot is instake for the producers. But the fans have some respise in the form of an Official Prince Caspian poster.
