Actress Keira Knightely has agreed to play the lead role in the romantic movie ‘Atonement’ based on Ian McEwan’s Booker Prize-nominated novel.



Keira said that she was quite apprehensive at first of taking up the scary role of Cecilia in this big screen adaptation of the bestseller novel Atonement, because she feels that her role will have a negative impact on her fans.



However, the 21-year-old Oscar nominated actress have readily joined the other casts as well and will be working opposite Narnia star James McAvoy.
