The most coveted role a leading actress in Hollywood aspires to have her in her resume is that of being a Bond Girl. Reports have it that this prestigious role for the upcoming movie in the Bond franchise ‘Bond 22′, has been allegedly handed over to Gemma Arterton.

According to several British newspapers, Gemma the actress of ‘St. Trinian’s’ was opted ahead of 1,500 other candidatures to play opposite Daniel Craig in this most anticipated British spy series. The reason stated for Gemma being the ultimate choice is because of her modern look and and her vulnerable image goes well along with the Bond Girl image. Sources reveal that Gemma even messaged her mother informing her that she got Bond.

The Bond series has been going through a series of leaks. It all started off with Daniel Craig reportedly leaking the title informing that a number would be a part of the title. Now, the Bond Girl seems to have been leaked and is reported about across the globe in several newspapers. Though confirmations have not come through as yet on Gemma playing Bond Girl, the production has confirmed that filming will start in January under the direction of Marc Forster.

The cast though apart from the leading lady of the British spy has been confirmed. Judi Dench, Mathieu Amalric and Anatole Taubman apart from Craig will be seen featuring in the hit Bond series. For fans of this sensational spy agent, the news is that the movie is likely to hit the big screen on 7th November next year.

The action adventure will definitely be much awaited by millions of movie goers. After the success of Casino Royale and with Daniel Craig accepted warmly by the audiences as their new Bond, it would surely be exciting stuff to watch the man bash up the bad guys once again. For now we have to settle down with speculations and go by Gemma Arterton, but only confirmations from the production house will give us our final Bond Girl.
