Keira Knightley is back in doing a period piece and is seen to be doing such era specific roles upto perfection. Keira will be seen in a similar role in her upcoming film ‘The Duchess’ directed by Saul Dibb for BBC Films and Pathe.
Keira will be seen playing the role of Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, who was one of the most celebrated beauty and an active political campaigner in that era when women suffrage did not make its presence felt.
‘The Duchess’ is due for a 2008 release under the Paramount Vantage banner, is based on Amanda Foreman’s biography of Cavendish. The movie will not only star the English beauty but Ralph Fiennes, Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, and Emily Jewell also.
With Keira known for history specific roles, fans across the globe will be awaiting the release of Duchess to witness yet another classic potrayal of history. Hollywood does churnch out some fantabulous classics time and again and only time can tell if they will get to taste a similar success with ‘The Duchess’.
