Katie Holmes, the 28-year-old-wife of Tom Cruise is planning an acting comeback, reports the New York Post.
It has been reported that Katie Holmes has auditioned for a role in the movie version of the musical Nine for ace film director, Oscar nominee Rob Marshall and producer Harvey Weinstein.
Nine is inspired by Federico Fellini’s 8 1/2 and revolves around a filmmaker and the women in his life. Not only Katie, who did a singing and dancing audition on Tuesday, but Demi Moore, Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones are also competing with each other to grab the lucrative role in the film.
Nine, is set in Venice, Italy in the 1960s. It premiered on Broadway in 1982 and was last seen on Broadway in 2003 in a production starring Antonio Banderas, directed by David Leveaux.
Nine is all time favorite musical. Katie can’t even croak, so what’s the point casting her in such a musical film?
