Universal Pictures has announced the fourth sequel of the popular adventure franchise, Jurassic Park.
Director of first two Jurassic Park films, Steven Spielberg may direct the fourth installment himself. Joe Johnston directed the less successful third series of the film. This time too Spielberg’s choice will remain Johnston for the direction but if Johnston won’t be able to take the direction charge then once again Spielberg will jump back into the dino-director’s chair.
The casting for the film has begun and the film will be shot in Kauai, Hawaii by the end of this year. Laura Dern will be seen, as Dr. Ellie Sattler whereas Sam Neill has ruled out his presence in the fourth installment of the film. The flick will revolve around the government who trains dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.
Originally Jurassic Park was a techno-thriller novel written by Michael Crichton on Dinosaurs that dominated terrestrial ecosystems for over 160 million year. The book caught attention of Hollywood and was thus framed into films.
The film Jurassic Park IV will be released in 2008.
