Its bad news for Jessica Biel fans. The actress has dropped her idea of playing Wonder Woman in Warner Bros’ justice League of America.
The 7th Heaven star was reported to be in talks with the producers of Justice League of America for the role of Wonder Woman, but, according to Entertainment Weekly, the actress has decided to opt out of the project.
The film, a live-action adaptation of the famous DC Comics characters, is looked upon as a promising venture. Director George Miller of Mad Max fame has already been roped in by the producers. Filming is expected to begin in February 2008.
Jessica’s association with the film was almost guaranteed, but her sudden retreat has made her fans unhappy. The beautiful actress has a great fan base and is clearly the most wanted actress in Hollywood.
She was even named one of People magazine’s ‘50 Most Beautiful People’ in 1999. It would have been a treat to watch Jessica in the costume of Wonder Woman, but not all wishes come true.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old has almost completed filming on ensemble drama Powder Blue, and will soon start shooting for her new film A Woman of No Importance with director Bruce Beresford.
