After ‘The Kingdom’ Jamie Fox is set to star in the ‘Zebra Murders: A Season of Killing, Racial Madness, and Civil Rights.’ The Oscar winner actor’s new flick is based on Prentice Earl Sanders and Bennett Cohen’s 2006 book by the same name.

Matt Carnahan is writing the screenplay for the bigscreen. Carnahan also wrote the script of ‘The Kingdom.’

The plot of ‘Zebra Murders’ revolves around a series of racially motivated serial killings — black on white — that took place in San Francisco in 1973 and 1974.

Foxx will play a real-life cop Prentice Earl Sanders, one of two black detectives who set out to solve a series of racially motivated serial killings that rocked San Francisco in the fall and winter of 1973-74.

Dede Gardner of Plan B Entertainment and Brad Pitt will produce the film, along with Foxx and Jaime Rucker King.
