He is smart, he is sexy and he uses his wit and intelligence to fight the most deadly villains in the underworld. But now there will some slight change in his methodology. James Bond 007 will remain James Bond 007 with all his assets but he will be augmented by new gadgets in his next project.

Daniel Craig was the new James Bond in Casino Royal last year and he is set to remain in his role as the charming British agent who has to rely heavily on his own character and intuition to fight crime. But he will be supplied with additional gadgets that will help him immensely in mastering the much sophisticated criminals.

One of the three screen writers of the next Bond movie Bond 22 is Paul Haggisand it was he who let this out while discussing the movie on CBS’ The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He remarked that the traditional Bond gadgets will make a comeback when Bond lands down to fight new villains in his next adventure Bond 22. The Aston Martin DBS V12 will return in the film, and will be supplied with some gadgets.

But the script is still in the process of being composed. Haggis further said that he is only in the 45th page of the script and that’s not even the half way mark in the story. But since the film is scheduled to be hitting the shots in December this year, there’s no hurry for him.

Bond 22 will pick up two minutes after Casino Royal when James Bond confronts a struggling Mr. White. In the movie, the sense of revenge will always be overt in Bond and this is what will drive him to fulfill his assignment. Bond would also retain his flaw in decision making and rashness of character.

Bond 22 was originally slated for release on May 2, 2008 but that has now been stretched to November 7. The movie will be produced by EON Productions and directed by Marc Foster.
