HBO, the 24×7 English Movie channel has prepared a sensational package of the best Hollywood movies for broadcast come Diwali in the Indian Subcontinent.
The viewers will get a choice of varied movies to catch up and also what’s more the biggest blockbuster premier this year starring Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible III will be screened on November 7th. The channel will be offering throughout the season five themes which will unfold itself during the weekday and the weekends will witness action packed thriller for all those cinegoers.
HBO South Asia country manager Shruti Bajpai in regards to this bumper entertainment offer by the channel said that,
Over the past seven years since we started to bring the best of Hollywood to Indian homes, we have seen our viewership growing by 20-25 percent annually to reach about 26 million households last year. Coinciding with the festival season, the special themes in different genres will offer quality entertainment to all age groups, adding flavor to the festival of lights.
Now, since its been disclosed that the weekdays will see theme based movies, all the movie addicts will surely want to know what’s in stored for them this season. Confirmations from the channel says that the theme for Mondays is ‘Lets Salsa’, Tuesdays ‘Kids Power’, Wednesdays ‘Blockbuster Mania’, Thursdays ‘Great Comedy Challenge’, Fridays ‘Friday Blockbusters’, Saturdays ‘See it First’ and Sundays will witness ‘Fantastic Portal’.
With such mass viewership amongst the youth these days HBO has confirmed that the channel will from next year onwards showcase 100 movies a month with almost 30 new titles ensuring the repetition is minimized. This is great news for all those who eat, sleep and drink movies which the Hollywood churns over a period of time. There is no doubt though that this Diwali package offered by HBO will be a great fireworks spectacle for one and all especially for movie lovers.
