
After Oscars here comes another awards for Jennifer Hudson and Forest Whitaker. The two bagged best acting prizes at NAACP Image Awards.
Meanwhile, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Isaiah Washington scooped a best actor prize at the 38th annual NAACP Image Awards. And ‘Ugly Betty’ took top television honors.

Forest Whitaker, who won a best actor Oscar for ‘The Last King Of Scotland,’ received same prize at Friday’s ceremony. He said,
Doing this role gave me so many blessings. One was being able to go back to Africa and touch my roots.
However, a former ‘American Idol’ finalist acquired a best supporting actress award for her role in the musical ‘Dreamgirls.’ She won Oscar for the same category. Hudson said,
There is nothing like being recognized and honored by your own.
‘The Pursuit of Happyness,‘ starring Will Smith and his son, won best picture honors.
Keke Palmer took best actress for ‘Akeelah and the Bee,’ and Djimon Hounsou nabbed best supporting actor for ‘Blood Diamond.’
Television show ‘That’s So Raven’ took two awards for best children’s program and performance.
Chandra Wilson won best supporting actress in a drama series for ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’
CNN’s Soledad O’Brien was given the honorary President’s Award for her work as a journalist.
