Jamie Foxx has all the reasons to tap his shoes and hum that song DJ Play A Love Song. The talented actor and singer has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 39-year-old failed to hide his emotions after being honoured with this prestigious recognition that every celebrity dreams about. The actor also paid tribute to his grandmother, who raised him. A cheerful Foxx said:
My grandmother’s got to be spreading her wings and flying around in heaven, just so happy.
Obviously, his happiness was truly justified because the honour was well deserved by him. Besides this, he is the first person to have been nominated for three acting awards at the Golden Globes in the same year.
On the music front, he has been tasting success continuously since 1994 through his active participation in the music scenario. He has recieved 4 Grammy nominations and his album Unpredictable, released at the very end of 2005, topped the Billboard pop album chart and eventually went platinum. This helped him win the best male singer award at the Soul Train Awards earlier this year.
