Daniel Radcliffe, the starry-eyed teenager who endeared one and all by his portrayal of Harry Potter, is craving to enact a gay character on the big screen.
The 18-year-old actor recently revealed that he would like to take up the challenge of portraying a homosexual character. Earlier this year, Radcliffe had bared all to do a nude scene for his hit London play. It seems the wonder boy wants to follow up this act by going gay at the movies. The promising teenager said:
I don’t think it would particularly affect me. I mean, I’d never play a gay character just for the sake of playing a gay character. If the script was good and it was a good gay character, then that wouldn’t bother me. Playing characters, exploring their sexuality is a challenge. I’m 18 and so the parts I’m going to be given will be for characters around that age range when people are exploring their sexuality.
Well, that gives us a hint about the intellectual ability of the young star. To start with the toughest job is always a sign of the winner.
