Firehouse Dog directed by Todd Holland will be hitting theaters nationwide next Wednesday, April 4th. Firehouse Dog written by Claire-Dee Lim, Mike Werb, Michael Colleary, is all about world famous Hollywood stunt dog. The story revolves around this pampered pooch Rex, who accidentally separated from his owner and winds up as a lucky charm of a fire station.

Rex is known for his extreme athletic abilities and diva-like demeanor. Rex got separated while shooting a commercial and Rex’s handlers presumed him to be dead. But actually Rex is lost in an unfamiliar city. The Hollywood’s most famous dog lives in the street. He was chased by animal control and he takes shelter in dirty deserted lofts.

Rex further proceeds to assist a 12-year old boy, Shane Fahey (Josh Hutcherson). The dog helps the boy’s father, Connor (Bruce Greenwood) a veteran fire chief and becomes mascot of a hapless fire station which turns the station into the city’s finest. And now Shane becomes his reluctant new master. But Shane’s behavior changes on discovering Rex’s stunning skills, which the firefighters put to use during rescue calls and makes Rex its mascot.

But Rex’s fame draws the Hollywood handler’s attention and wants him back. Shane and his father even face a deadly challenge from an unexpected source.

The cast includes stars Josh Hutcherson, Bruce Greenwood, Dash Mihok, Steven Culp, Bill Nunn, Bree Turner, Scotch Ellis and Teddy Sears.
