IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures announced on September 5th, 2007 that the latest Harry Potter movie has become the highest grossing live-action Hollywood IMAX release with a world wide gross collection of about $906 million till date.
IMAX cashed in the most with their 3D feature around the world. It has been reported that the experience in the dome at IMAX just added another feather in the cap to Harry Potters magic especially in the climax duel between the Order and Voldermorts death eathers.
With the cost of production of the Harry Potter movies increasing with every release one needs to gain collections of such high magnitude to cover the costs.
