American actor and comedian Drew Carey is all set to replace Bob Barker on ‘The Price Is Right’ television game show as the new host of The Price Is Right. The game show was originally a creation of Bob Stewart and currently its most popular version is aired in the United States.

The 49 year-old was appointed as the new host on July 23 after a taping of CBS “Late Show” with David Letterman.

Barker, 83, resigned from the show after being host for 35 years last month following taping of his 6,586th episode.

Carey has experience of running his own ABC comedy series, The Drew Carey Show for a decade and also being host of game show, Whose Line is It Anyway?

On being asked by Letterman that when does he intend to begin the show, Carey said:

You got me...All I know is that all the deal points we wanted got settled. And I just found out, honestly.

Carey is confident that he would be good at the show and has been advised by Barker to do the show being Carey and by not imitating Barker or anyone else.
