It was only a few days ago that Dan Brown, the author of the famous best seller Da Vinci Code got the case in his favor yet another scandal has come up within no time.
The movie based on this novel starring Tom Hanks is not yet released but it has already given rise to wide spread agitation among one of the major Christian group in South Korea.
In a recent free pre-release publicity for the movie, the powerful South Korean Christian group has said that the movie needs to be banned from being screened in South Korea, as it might lead to religious conflict;
The group feels that the movie might:
Disparage and insult the Divinity of Jesus Christ and incite even greater conflict and chaos than the novel to Christians and non-Christians alike.
However there are some counter reactions to this appeal as well. An open public opposition is put forward by National Council of Churches in Korea stating this move made by the group as ‘extreme overreaction’.
The status on the release issue is not declared yet: so we have to wait till further details are being made.
