Ever since Brokeback has been released, the movie has been bagging awards after awards, but in the SAG Award ceremony the movie had an upsetting episode. It loss to ‘Crash’ has greatly affected the moral of the entire team and this loss might hamper its chances of winning the Oscar Awards of which it is believed to be a strong contender.
Crash, a racial drama with 74 actors giving their best shot won the best acting ensemble award.
While Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) and Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote) won the lead roles award for their moving performance, the supporting awards went to British actress Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener) and Paul Giamatti (Cinderella Man).
Mr. Hoffman’s win is now certainly a challenge for the two Oscar hopeful actors, Heath Ledger and Russell Crowe.
Tuff contender for Oscars Felicity Huffman loss to Witherspoon but she managed to rope in the best actress for her part in TV Comedy, ‘Desperate Housewives’. And in the male category Sean Hayes won the best actor in TV Comedy Will & Grace.
