The action-packed movie ‘Casino Royale’ has met the standards of China’s Strict Film Board and has been approved to be released in Chinese cinemas.

The latest 007 installment is the first of 21 James Bond films approved for Chinese cinemas. The film had its world premiere in London on Tuesday night which has surprisingly been accepted by China’s Film Censorship Board, which monitors ‘cultural pollution’ from Western made movies.

Li Chow, Sony Pictures’ China manager, said,

We are extremely pleased that the film has passed and expect it to be one of the highest grossing films next year in China.

The film starring Daniel Craig and Eva Green will be shown at more than 1,000 cinema screens across the country after its January 29, premiere, Sony Pictures said.

Li Chow said,
