Barbara Walters joined the list of more than 2,000 five-pointed stars featuring in the celebrities honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce - when on Thursday, June 14 she was awarded by Hollywood Walk of Fame.
This honor came to her just two days before the ceremony of the Daytime Emmys, in which Walters was nominated as a host and producer of The View.
77-year-old Walters is the first woman to co-anchor the network evening news with Harry Reasoner, on The ABC Evening News. In 2001, she was named as the fourth most powerful woman in America by Ladies Home Journal.
The first star was awarded to Joanne Woodward on February 9, 1960.
