The famous French actress Audrey Tautou is all set to play Coco Chanel in a new movie about the fashion legend. The announcement came in Cannes.
The movie, that will begin filming early next year will basically feature Chanel’s childhood and early womanhood. The film has not been titled yet. It will be directed by French filmmaker Anne Fontaine. The search for an actor to be cast as Arthur “Boy” Capel, the wealthy English polo player, who played a large role in her life is still not over. Gabrielle Chanel is well known for changing the face of French fashion.
She faced a hard life as she was born and bred in poverty. She was an illegitimate child. She spent few years of her life in a Catholic orphanage, where she learned to sew. Once she shot up to fame, there was no looking back for her.
