Both Memoirs of a Geisha and King Kong who missed the nomination in several categories also got three awards in technical categories.
George Clooney who had three nominations won only one award for Best Supporting actor for the movie Syriana. Rachel Weisz got the ward for Best Supporting actress for the portrayal of Tessa Quayle in The Constant Gardener.
