A ten-year-old director Dominic Scott Kay has reportedly lodged a lawsuit in Los Angeles Thursday, alleging that a woman who helped finance the movie unfairly demanded creative control and distribution rights. Conroy Kanter had provided 11,000 dollars funding for the film ‘Saving Angelo.’

Kay, a child actor who directed a short film starring Kevin Bacon who provided the voice of Wilbur the pig in ‘Charlotte’s Web,’ claimed that he came up with the story for the film.

Kay said,

She wanted to make all the decisions and stuff. She wanted final cut and everything.

She ‘has threatened to sue Kay (a 10-year-old!) if he finishes editing the film ... without her consent,’ the lawsuit says.

Kanter’s attorney alleged that Kay’s mother was behind the lawsuit, seeking financial gain.

The short film tells the story of a boy who rescues a dog left for dead on the side of a road. The lawsuit said profits would be donated to animal rescue charities.
