Michelle Pfeiffer became the 2,345th person to be honored with Hollywood Walk Of Fame on August 6 for her contributions to the entertainment industry. The “Scarface” star’s memorable moment was witnessed by many notable personalities. Winner of Miss Orange County beauty Pageant in 1978 she had to give up journalism to carry on with acting.
Pfeiffer thanked her mother who supported her in becoming an actress as she says :
First and foremost I want to thank my mother, who isn’t here right now.
She abstained herself from movies for some four years. Beginning her acting career with The Hollywood Knights in 1980, she was last seen in ‘White Oleander’ that was released in 2002. For this film she was also rewarded with a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress.
For next 3-4 years she remained away from spotlight and once again returned to acting this year with romantic comedy ‘I Could Never Be Your Woman’ which is set for U.S release next month.
She has several projects to work on which include “Stardust” with Robert De Niro and a musical comedy “Hairspray” with John Travolta.
